Business Development Manager
Remote (UK) | One day per month in our office in the heart of Wiltshire
At Spark Care, growth is never about volume for the sake of it.
It’s about understanding care, building trust, and helping providers make decisions they can feel confident standing behind.
Because of that, experience of working in or with adult social care is essential for this role.
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager who understands the realities of adult social care and is comfortable having thoughtful, credible conversations with care leaders from day one.
This role is fully remote, with a requirement to spend at least one day per month in our Wiltshire office to stay connected with the wider team.
About Spark Care
Spark Care works with care providers across the UK to design and deliver thoughtful, future-ready care technology. Our focus is on fall detection, prevention, and connected care ecosystems that support safer care, stronger governance, and better outcomes.
We take a partnership-led approach. We listen first, we act responsibly, and we only recommend solutions we believe in.
About the Role
As Business Development Manager, you’ll play a key role in building and nurturing relationships across the adult social care sector.
This is not a transactional sales role.
It’s a consultative position where understanding context, pressure, and responsibility matters just as much as commercial awareness.
You’ll work closely with care home owners, group leaders, commissioners, and partners, supporting them through complex decisions around technology, risk, and care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and managing a pipeline of opportunities within adult social care
- Holding confident, informed conversations with senior decision-makers
- Leading discovery-led discussions rather than product-led sales calls
- Working closely with implementation and technical colleagues to ensure alignment between sales and delivery
- Attending relevant sector meetings, events, and occasional site visits
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and clear visibility of opportunities
- Representing Spark Care in a way that reflects our values, ethics, and reputation
What We’re Looking For?
- Experience of working in or with adult social care (essential)
- Background in business development, partnerships, or consultative sales
- Strong understanding of care environments and operational pressures
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
- A calm, relationship-led approach
- Comfort working independently in a remote role
Experience selling technology into care is helpful, but not essential.
Understanding care is.
Working at Spark Care
- Fully remote, UK-based role
- One day per month in our Wiltshire office
- Supportive, experienced, values-led team
- No unrealistic targets or pressure-driven culture
- Opportunity to grow with a business that is scaling thoughtfully and responsibly
