Field Service Technician
Field-based (UK) | Regular travel to care environments | Occasional days in our Wiltshire office
At Spark Care, technology doesn’t exist for its own sake.
It exists to reduce risk, support judgement, and make care environments calmer and safer, especially when teams are stretched.
That only works when systems are installed with care, attention, and respect for the people who live and work around them.
We’re looking for a Field Service Technician who understands that difference.
Someone who takes pride in doing things properly, is comfortable working independently, and understands that care settings are not just “sites”, they’re people’s homes.
Experience working in or around adult social care environments is highly valued for this role.
About Spark Care
Spark Care works with care providers across the UK to design and deliver thoughtful, future-ready care technology. Our focus is on fall detection, prevention, and connected care ecosystems that support safer care, stronger governance, and better outcomes.
We don’t sell technology for the sake of it.
We listen first, act responsibly, and only recommend solutions we genuinely believe improve care.
About the Role
As a Field Service Technician, you are central to how Spark Care shows up in the world.
You’ll be responsible for installing, commissioning, and supporting care technology in live, operational care environments. Many of these are occupied settings, often supporting people living with frailty, dementia, or complex needs.
This is not a volume-driven install role.
It’s a role for someone who understands that small details matter, that care teams need confidence in the systems around them, and that how you work on site reflects directly on Spark Care’s reputation.
You’ll work closely with our technical, delivery, and commercial teams, and you’ll often be the person clients associate most strongly with Spark Care.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing and commissioning care technology solutions within residential and care-at-home environments
- Carrying out site surveys and pre-installation assessments
- Configuring systems to reflect real care workflows, not theoretical ones
- Ensuring installations meet agreed technical and quality standards
- Providing clear handovers and basic on-site guidance to care teams
- Troubleshooting issues calmly and methodically
- Carrying out site visits, upgrades, and system checks where required
- Accurately documenting work completed and updating internal systems
- Representing Spark Care professionally, respectfully, and confidently on site
What We’re Looking For?
- Experience in a field-based technical, installation, or service role
- Comfortable working independently across multiple sites
- Willingness to travel regularly as part of the role
- Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality work
- Calm, professional approach when working in sensitive environments
- Confidence communicating with non-technical people
Experience working in or around adult social care is highly desirable.
Experience installing technology in live environments is helpful.
Care awareness, judgement, and attitude are essential.
Working at Spark Care
- Field-based, UK-wide role
- Supportive, experienced, values-led team
- Proper time allocated for installations, not rushed targets
- Training, support, and clear technical standards
- Opportunity to grow with a business scaling thoughtfully and responsibly
